Master Keying - How it Works
Our completely interchangeable core lock system (QCC) enables a lock
combination to be changed in seconds, provides second-to-none key controls, offers fast and efficient maintenance and large, virtually unlimited master keying system capabilities!
So-called "Master Key" systems have almost become a generic term. Real Master Key Systems that can incorporate switch locks, perimeter locks, filing cabinet locks, garage door locks and virtually any lock on the market today are much rarer, and BiLock is very rare. Because it offers virtually infinite combinations with tightly controlled security, it gives both the locksmith and the end user confidence and flexibility. It is the Company's understanding of what a true Master Key System requires that has positioned BiLock at the forefront in todays security market.
The BiLock key system utilises up to 12 chambers with 4 depths per chamber. The numerical sum of these combinations gives 16,777,216 actual key combinations per profile. Powerful Master Key Systems can be generated from these combinations. It also makes possible an authentic and convenient one key system for each individual user authorised to access any particular area, building or group of buildings.

The exceptional BiLock Quick Change Core (QCC) remains an integral feature to New Generation BiLock, ensuring system flexibility and long term economy for high security locking. Fortunately there are few products that simply cannot incorporate the QCC feature in the New Generation range.
Why have both?Simple really! The QCC provides the unique ability to recombinate or change lock access within seconds. It is no longer necessary to remove the entire cylinder door hardware for a compromised area to be secured. With New Generation QCC the interchangeable core can be easily removed, recombinated and reinstalled in seconds using the unique white colour coded QCC removal key. To further enhance security, cores can be interchanged between any of the wide range of New Generation BiLock products which are QCC compatible.
QCC has revolutionised the securing of installations and offers extraordinary convenience in any situation where quick, easy changes are essential. For example, where there are large glass entry doors with patched fittings, it is no longer necessary to go to the expense and inconvenience of removing the door from its hinges. Simply remove the core of the lock with the QCC tool key and replace it with another or re-key the lock! Once often taking hours...
